Nicholas Rapisarda

J.D. candidate, 2021

Nick is a second-year student at the School of Law. Nick attended the University of St. Thomas undergraduate school and earned a B.S. in Neuroscience with a minor in Business Administration. Nick has a particular interest in the cohesion and integration of the sciences, law, and the Catholic faith. After graduation Nick hopes to possibly pursue these interests further either professionally or through volunteer work, allowing him to impact the ethical and moral policy considerations of highly contentious fields such as genetics and neuroscience.

Nick spent most of his childhood growing up in Manitowoc, WI (yes, where the infamous Netflix show Making a Murder took place) and attended high school at Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay, WI graduating in 2010. He played competitive club soccer on a national scale in high school and had a successful four year career with the varsity men’s program at the University of St. Thomas. He still catches the occasional game when he can. Also, while attending the undergraduate school, Nick was heavily involved in Saint Paul’s Outreach a Catholic organization on campus focused on student formation. He regularly attended Nativity of Our Lord Parish and recommends their fish fry during Lent.

Nick also has an interest in travel and lived that out prior to his time as a full-time law student working for a major American airline and traveling the world. He has visited upwards of 30 countries within a two-year time span and enjoyed learning about the rich and diverse cultures of the world. He was also fascinated and inspired by how widespread the Catholic faith is globally.

Nick considers St. Thomas pivotal in the development of his Catholic faith as he completed the RCIA program through the University and was Confirmed in St. Thomas’ very own Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. Nick is excited and humbled to be intimately involved in the mission of the Murphy Institute.
