Nathaniel Fouch

J.D. Candidate, 2020

Nathaniel is a third-year law student at St. Thomas, a native Kentuckian, and a proud graduate of Berea College, where he studied Political Science. Nathaniel is the oldest of seven and was raised in a family that emphasized living out its Catholic faith through service to the poor and vulnerable. He met his wife Theresa while volunteering for the Christian Appalachian Project—the same place his parents met. After graduating college, Nathaniel and Theresa spent a year volunteering in El Paso, TX, on the U.S.-Mexico border. There, Nathaniel worked at a Catholic legal office with undocumented immigrants. This experience led him to apply to law school, and he chose St. Thomas because of its Catholic identity and mission. At the law school, Nathaniel has served as the president of the St. Thomas More Society, a Murphy Student Scholar, and the Symposium Editor for the St. Thomas Law Journal. He is always looking for opportunities to collaborate with others to bring the Catholic faith more fully into the life of his law school and broader communities.
