2018 Murphy Scholars

Murphy Scholars

The Murphy Institute offers a fellowship program for full-time, in residence students in the J.D. or M.A. Catholic Studies students (CSMA) program at the University of St. Thomas.

Students admitted into this program are known as “Murphy Scholars.”  Murphy Scholars are involved in the full range of interdisciplinary programming offered by the Murphy Institute, from public events to private faculty seminars and roundtables, where they have the opportunity to engage with the Institute’s impressive array of guests.  Additionally, Murphy Scholars participate in special Institute projects throughout the year according to their interests.  These may include research, writing opportunities, Institute communications, and event planning.  A stipend of $1,000 for each spring and fall semester is included with the fellowship.  For a complete overview of the program, please reference our Murphy Scholars Program Manual.

Students enrolled full-time in the J.D. or M.A. Catholic Studies (CSMA) program are eligible to apply.  Students must also be in residence.

Applications are not currently being accepted for the Murphy Scholar program.  Application information will be posted here for the next open period.
