Library Instruction
At St. Thomas, students will experience multiple opportunities to develop research skills and expertise in evaluating, comparing, and selecting reliable and credible sources of information. Unfortunately, many of our students are unfamiliar with how to effectively use academic research resources to complete papers or other projects.
St. Thomas librarians can work with you to develop your students' skills:
- Constructing a research strategy
- Locating information by finding and effectively using the appropriate (electronic or paper) resources and services
- Evaluating and synthesizing the information discovered
- Citing their sources appropriately
