"Looking Backwards, Moving Forwards: Forty Years as a Feminist Philosopher"

Dr. Holland will talk about her journey as a feminist philosopher and the history of Women’s Studies. She will then lay out a basic schema that explains the current push-back in the US and elsewhere against women’s rights, civil rights, voting rights, GLBTIAP rights, etc.. She will discuss the implications of all this and offer suggestions about how to respond to the push-back in positive and productive ways. This will resonate with the Women's Center's yearlong theme of "breaking through the glass ceiling."
