Events & Programs

Welcome to the 2022-2023 academic year! Each year the Women's Center explores a different theme through its variety of programs. This year, we will draw on our Making Waves, Book Circles, and other programs to navigate the many fascinating facets of "Women and Healthcare." Join us!

The Luann Dummer Center for Women hosts and co-sponsors a variety of programs that advance the mission of the Center to "foster the intellectual, spiritual and personal development of women, and promote an open and diverse environment at St. Thomas." Dr. Luann Dummer specified that the main program of the Center would be a major speaker for Women's History Month. In addition, the Center features a monthly program "Making Waves," modeled after the previous program "Feminist Fridays," to grapple with topics related to gender equity, women, diversity, and social justice. Over the years the Center has enhanced these programs with a variety of other programs that meet the immediate needs and interests of the University community.
