Manire Vaughn

Adjunct Faculty and Staff Attorney at Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid

Manire T. Vaughn is a dedicated litigator committed to the advancement of historically marginalized communities. He currently works as staff attorney at Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid (MMLA). Within this capacity, he advocates for clients facing evictions, subsidized housing terminations, unresolved repair concerns, and housing discrimination.

Manire's commitment to marginalized populations extends beyond practice. He is also a member of the Good Trouble Coalition and serves as a board member for Peris Hill Housing Project.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Manire interned at various non-profits and state agencies throughout Minnesota including the Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights and the Minnesota Sentencing and Guidelines Commission.

Manire earned his Juris Doctorate at Michigan State University College of Law in 2018.

Manire enjoys assisting law students reach the acme of their success. He has participated in several Bar Exam preparation panels, and has judged several moot court competitions.

Manire is a Chicago native, and an avid traveler. When he is not traveling, he enjoys spending time with his dog, Kozy, and painting.
