Symposium: Constitutionalism

Hosted by the Journal of Law and Public Policy.

Date & Time:

Friday, November 18, 2022
7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

University of St. Thomas School of Law
Moot Court Room

At its fall 2022 Symposium, the Journal of Law and Public Policy at the University of St. Thomas School of Law will examine the historical and philosophical foundations of constitutionalism, constitutional self-restraint by Congress, the Supreme Court, and the place of constitutions in the international order. With this in mind, the panel of speakers will address the different facets of Constitutionalism. By highlighting and debating its meaning, we hope to remind our society that Constitutionalism is a lively discussion connecting history to the present day. Through this symposium, we hope we can ignite interest and passion from our student members, speakers, and general audience to engage in an important debate on the founding document that makes up our country.
