Law students, faculty, staff, alumni and the legal community are invited to attend BLSA's 2022 Night of Distinction gala on April 23, 2022. The theme for this year's event is "promoting Black entrepreneurship through law, leadership, and mentorship" and will include a keynote address by Judge Stephen L. Smith, district court judge of the 2nd judicial district, on the importance of leadership and mentorship for young lawyers.

It will be followed up by a panel that will build on the concepts from the keynote to expand on ways we as lawyers can be leaders and mentors to Black businesses and Black entrepreneurs. The goal is to have a conversation about how we can use our skills to help innovate, promote and improve black entrepreneurship in our communities.

BLSA will present its inaugural Student Leadership, BLSA Alumni Impact, and Mission Awards. The organization's graduating 3Ls and 2022-2023 E-board will be recognized at the event, as well.
