WLSA and School of Law External Relations host a self-defense class brought to you by Valley Self-Defense.
Date & Time:
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Safety continues to be a priority for the School of Law. On April 21 at 6 p.m., WLSA and School of Law External Relations will offer to the first 30 students a virtual self-defense class taught by Valley Self-Defense. This class is designed to accommodate all students, no matter their skill or fitness level. Not only do the Valley Self-Defense instructors know how to train you to keep you physically safe, they have also been trained in trauma-informed care to help you mentally work through self-defense. The class teaches a system of self-defense called Krav Maga. Krav Maga is a fighting system that brings together techniques from aikido, boxing, wresting, judo and karate. The program will cover an introduction to Krav Maga, and the more technical aspects of punches, kicks, stay-away, personal self-defense weapons, and defensive maneuvers.
