This event is hosted in commemoration of the publication of the Cambridge University Press book, Patents on Life: Religious, Moral, and Social Justice Aspects of Biotechnology and Intellectual Property. The book was edited by St. Thomas Law professor Thomas C. Berg, Roman Cholij of St Edmund's College in Cambridge and Simon Ravenscroft of Magdalene College, Cambridge and St Edmund's College in Cambridge. Patents on Life comes from the efforts of a conference co-hosted by the Murphy Institute and Von Hagel Institute at St. Edmund's College, Cambridge University in 2015.
