The St. Thomas Student Intellectual Property Law Association (SIPLA) invites the UST community and the general public to attend a discussion about international intellectual property (IP) law. Panelists will discuss their career trajectories, a lawyer's role in protecting clients' IP in emerging markets, the role of USPTO in servicing non-U.S. businesses, and the role of international treaties/protocols. The event will be a balance between careers in international IP law and current/foreseeable legal challenges that aspiring IP lawyers should consider early on in their practices.
