Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon will host a discussion on the issues Minnesota and the country face in keeping our election systems safe and secure. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security identified Minnesota as one of 21 states targeted in 2016 by people working "at the behest of the Russian government." There was no actual or attempted intrusion in Minnesota. However, it is clear the risk is not going away. Secretary Simon will detail the nature of outside threats to our nation's election system and how Minnesota is responding to the issue.
