Presented by the Criminal Law Association

Date & Time:

Wednesday, February 22, 2017
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

University of St. Thomas School of Law
Room 235

Earl Gray is not your average cup of tea. Gray is a high-profile private criminal defense attorney out of St. Paul, MN. He has amazed juries for over 40 years. He is highly respected by fellow defense attorneys as one of the most elite attorneys in the U.S., not just Minnesota. He is most well-known in Minnesota for his representation of ex-Vikings star Daunte Culpepper, as well as Officer Yanez currently. He has been voted as one of the "Best Lawyers of America" for 20 consecutive years. We will host him for a lunch to discuss what it is like to defend high-profile clients who are often accused of crimes such as first-degree criminal sexual conduct, first-degree murder, among other felonies. He will talk about techniques in interviewing these clients, tips on representing them in court, the implications of representing them, and how to morally accept them as clients given their charges. He will use many of his own case examples to guide us in this discussion. He will NOT discuss his current case with Officer Yanez.
