Join current and former judicial law clerks (and St. Thomas Law alumni) for a happy hour on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Rock Bottom Brewery in Minneapolis.
The Office of Career & Professional Development is happy to partner with Alumni Relations to bring you this fun, relaxed happy hour event (and fantastic networking opportunity) with a number of alumni who are currently clerking or have recently been judicial law clerks.
Judicial clerkships provide amazing experience and training. Among other things, a judicial clerkship will allow you to work closely with a judge, to see how the court functions behind the scenes, to gain exposure to trial practice, and to push your legal research and writing skills to the next level. Judicial clerkships, unlike many attorney positions, do not require bar admission, which is another reason why we strongly recommend that current law students and recent graduates investigate clerkships as a great option for securing relevant employment even before passing the bar.
Join us on Nov. 10, and be ready to discuss the meaningful work that judicial law clerks get to do, strategies for networking and making connections with judges, the power of participating in a judicial externship during law school, and any questions you may have.
