In this series, Ted Ulrich will focus on the history and aspects of Hindu-Christian encounter in south India. Although Christianity is the dominant religion in the West, it also has a rich history in the East, including in India where it has had a longstanding encounter Hinduism. Professor Ulrich will explore this encounter and the valuable lessons we can learn from it as the West grows more religiously diverse.

Ted Ulrich, Ph.D., is professor of theology at the University of St. Thomas. He specializes in the study of Christian-Hindu dialogue and the religions and cultures of India. He regularly brings students from UST to India for study abroad courses as well as traveling there on his own to engage in research.
