Occasionally, members of the university have a need to get web content out in a quick, inexpensive and repeatable fashion, but may not have the time or resources to manage a full-fledged web site. Additionally, a faculty member may have a small research project or topic that they would like to have on the web in order to have a dialogue with colleagues. These are just a couple of the cases where Web Services may decide that a blog is an appropriate tool for you or your department to quickly and easily bring up a web site for the syndication of content.

The University of St. Thomas maintains a Wordpress server just to host blogs and provides blogs on the system free of charge to faculty and staff of the University. Like all University web properties, our blog server is maintained 24/7 and content is backed up nightly.
