Copy, Scan, & Fax

We support more than printing at all of our multi-functioning printers (MFPs) on campus. MFPs are located in public areas for student use. 

Copy

Users are able to make copies directly at any of our MFPs. 

  1. Login to the device by swiping your ID card or manually typing in your username and password
  2. Select which account will be charged to under “Account Selection”
  3. Select the Copy icon from the Home menu
  4. Place the document in the document feeder or scanner
  5. Select the number of copies you wish to make
    *Note: Default setting is to duplex (back to back) copies
  6. Press the green Copy icon at the top of the screen
  7. When copying is complete, click the Home icon
  8. Sign Out

Scan

You can scan your documents to a USB flashdrive, email, or network folder.

Scan to Email

  1. Login to the device by swiping your ID card or manually typing in your username and password
  2. Place the document face up on the top tray
  3. Click the Email icon from the Home menu
  4. Default settings will send the scanned document to the user logged in
  5. The scanned document will have a default name will be [Untitled].pdf. If you wish to change this, press this field and type on the keyboard to change name
  6. Press the green Send Email icon at the top of the screen
  7. When scan is complete, click the Home icon
  8. Sign Out

Scan to USB

  1. Login to the device by swiping your ID card or manually typing in your username and password
  2. Place the document face up on the top tray
  3. Click the Save to USB icon from the Home menu
  4. Create a file name for the document
  5. Press the green Save to USB icon at the top of the screen
  6. When scan is complete, click the Home icon
  7. Sign Out

Fax

Users are able to send faxes to local, long distance, and international fax numbers from multi-functioning printers (MFPs). There currently is no direct "printing" charge for printing faxes, but there may be charges for long distance calls associated with a fax job. 

If you need to send a fax to a long distance or international number but do not have a long distance code, you will need to request this through the Request For Services (RFS) form on the Voice Services section.

  1. Login to the device by swiping your ID card or manually typing in your username and password
  2. Select "OpenText Right Fax"
  3. Select "Sign in as guest"
  4. Select the "Fax Number" field
  5. Enter the fax number of the recipient
    1. Local numbers:
      1. Enter 8 to dial out of the University
      2. Enter the 10-digit fax number
    2. Long Distance numbers:
      1. Enter 8 to dial out of the University
      2. Enter 1 to dial long distance
      3. Enter in the 10-digit fax number
      4. Enter your Long Distance Code
    3. International numbers:
      1. Enter 8 to dial out of the University
      2. Enter 011 for the U.S. exit code
      3. Dial the phone number (including country code)
      4. Enter your Long Distance Code
  6. Select "Scan and Send"
  7. When fax is complete, click the Home icon
  8. Sign out
