System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP)

ITS offers Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP) anti-virus software for free to all faculty, staff, and students. 

Anti-virus software is used to prevent malicious files and programs from attacking your computer. By keeping your anti-virus software up-to-date and running scans regularly you can greatly decrease your chances of getting a virus.

Steps before installing

Before installing SCEP on your personally owned computer, please do the following:

  1. Uninstall all previous versions of anti-virus software running on your computer.

  2. Be sure that you are logged on to your computer with an account that has administrative privileges.

  3. For personally owned computers, you will need to agree to the End User License Agreement (EULA) prior to receiving the software and then can begin downloading and installing the software.
