Mapping UST printer to a Personal PC

Before you begin you must download and install the PaperCut software from our PaperCut Install webpage

  1. Connect to any of the UST Wi-Fi networks
  2. Open a web browser and login through the purple UST Authentication Page
  3. Go to your Start Menu
  4. Select "Run" 
  5. In the "Open:" field type in the following:
    1. For St. Paul campus printers and FollowMe queues: \\ust-pm2p\
    2. For Minneapolis campus printers: \\ust-pm3p\
    3. For FollowMe printing only use: \\ust-pm2p\ and search for "FollowMe"
  6. If a dialogue window appears asking you to login, make sure to login including UST\ before your username (eg. UST\user1234) and your associated password
  7. A new window with the list of available public printers will appear organized by Building and Room location
  8. Double click on the printer in the list that you wish to map
  9. You will see a progress bar and it may take a few minutes to complete
  10. You will get a message that you have successfully added the printer, click Finish
  11. The next window asks if this printer should be the default printer, and if you wish to print a test page. Answer and click Finish
  12. If you go back to the Devices and Printers window from under the Start Menu, you will see the new printer shown

To remove a printer

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Click on “Devices and Printers”
  3. Select the icon of the printer you wish to delete
  4. Under File,  choose “Remove Device”
  5. Restart your computer

To change your default printer

  1. Click on the start button
  2. Click on “Devices and Printers”
  3. Select the icon of the printer you wish to make the default
  4. Under File, choose “Set as default printer”.
