IPC Alumnae Become Social Work Trainers

June 26, 2018

This past June, members of the National Association of Social Workers from around the state of Minnesota gathered at their 28th annual conference entitled: "Expanding the Circle: Empowering Ourselves in Challenging Times."

Among their trainers were Interprofessional Center fieldwork placement students Jennifer Hintz, MSW '17 and Manuela Gonzalez, MSW '18.

Jennifer trained social workers in a presentation entitled, "Holistic Healing: Native American Sex-Trafficking Survivors."

Manuela offered a workshop called, "Language Brokering Among Latinx Youth."

We are proud of our IPC students for becoming a leading voice on behalf of traditionally underheard populations.
