Research Assistantships & the Gherty Family Student Scholar
Law students are key members of the Holloran Center's team, helping with research, scholarship, curriculum development, and programming alongside Holloran Center Fellows. Through the process of assisting professors, law students learn practical skills and competencies in legal and scholarly research, project management, networking, and teamwork. Our law students participate in planning national symposia and Continuing Legal Education programs, offering opportunities to network with some of the leading national legal scholars and thought leaders, alumni, and members of the Minneapolis-St Paul legal community.
In addition to research assistantships, the Gherty Family Student Scholar in Ethical Leadership is generously funded by the Gherty Family. The Gherty Scholar has the opportunity to work with the Holloran Center for Ethical Leadership beginning after their first year of law school. Gherty Scholars demonstrate a strong commitment to the School of Law’s mission. Applicants are identified during the admissions process for this scholarship / fellowship.
