The Risk of NOT Knowing

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and HIV are on campus. All people who engage in any type of sexual activity (oral, vaginal, and/or anal) are at risk.

Often times, STIs do not have any symptoms and many infected individuals don't even know it. If left untreated, STIs can increase the risk of infecting others and can cause serious complications such as infertility or cause damage to the heart, liver or brain.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that all sexually active individuals get regular annual sexual health screenings. The only way to know if you or a partner has an STI is to get tested.

Test results are generally available within 48-72 hours and will be communicated to you via telephone, secure Health Portal messaging or return appointment.

Sexual health screenings can be billed to insurance or paid at time of service (cash option).

Cash Option for STI Screening*:

Chlamydia Test (only)

$ 15.00

Chlamydia and Gonorrhea

$ 25.00

HIV Test

$ 15.00

Syphilis Test (RPR)

$ 20.00

 * If you have symptoms, an additional office visit fee may be charged.

All test results are recorded in your medical records. All medical records are confidential and can only be released with your written permission.  By law, Health Services must report positive results (HIV, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea and Syphilis) to the Minnesota Department of Health.
