Graduate Certificate in DevOps

This graduate certificate prepares individuals to meet the growing demand from information technology (IT) industries for professionals skilled in DevOps.

IT infrastructure deployment practices are rapidly changing as organizations build "Infrastructure as code" and adopt cloud computing platforms. This program focuses on real-world implementation challenges faced by IT organizations. Students will primarily learn by doing and gain hands-on experience with several widely adopted IT platforms.

Students in the Graduate Certificate in DevOps program will learn about IT delivery, operations, and management in both theory and practicesoftware engineering concepts, techniques, and methodologies; and the engineering and design of IT infrastructure, focusing on cloud-scale distributed systems and modern DevOps practices. The curriculum has been designed so that a student graduating from this certificate will be proficient in software engineering, information technology delivery, and cloud infrastructure.

During this time of uncertainty, here are a few things you can be certain of:

The University of St. Thomas has made prudent decisions to act on the advice of state and medical professionals. Therefore all the classes in our Graduate Programs in Software and Data Science which are normally delivered in an on-campus classroom format, are being delivered temporarily online.  The classes are still being held during their normal time on weeknights and Saturdays.

St. Thomas has made the decision to have all summer courses be completely online. When we can, we will return to our regular classrooms on both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. We are happy to help you in every way possible on your journey to apply, register, and start classes for this summer term (begins May 26th) and/or fall term (begins September 9th).

Please consider attending one of the online information sessions we are hosting via Zoom on April 15th and May 5th.  Our staff and faculty are ready to assist you with your questions so e-mail us at gradsoftware@stthomas.edu.  That is why we are here.
