As the Graduate Programs in Software (GPS) celebrated its 30th anniversary, Dr. Bhabani Misra, associate dean of graduate programs, shared some insights:

“Our programs have grown 59 percent in the last five years. Like no other technical field, the rapid pace of change in software demands an intimate understanding of the trends in industry and a willingness to transform who we are and what we do. So we continue to change our programs – both in courses and degrees. In the past year we have added over 11 new courses. We have four master’s degrees (data science, information technology, software engineering and software management) and six graduate certificates."

“We celebrated our anniversary by hosting a dinner and were honored to have Mike Olson, founder and chief strategy officer from Cloudera, speak on ‘Data, Innovation and Society in the Next 100 Years.’”
