You Can Help Make a St. Thomas Education Accessible to All

Every year, thousands of bright students apply to the University of St. Thomas seeking the distinctive, values-based education we offer. But our high-quality education can seem out of reach for many students and their families.

Scholarships are the great equalizer, opening the door for all students of promise. They also make it possible for our graduates to choose whatever career they feel called to pursue for the common good – entrepreneur or teacher, researcher or social worker, counselor or artist. Their career choices will fit their talents and passions, not be limited by college debt.

Over the next few years, St. Thomas seeks to double its endowment for scholarships. This infusion of funds will have a profound impact on our ability to attract the best and the brightest.

Be a Part of Our #1 Priority: Private Support for Financial Aid

With support, we will:

  • Ensure opportunity for capable and determined students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Address the unmet financial needs of 40 percent of our current students.
  • Reduce student debt to ensure our students have the flexibility to work for the common good upon graduation – no matter their calling.

Higher education was a dream that became a reality thanks to my scholarship.

The GHR Fellows Program Kicks Off Our Scholarship Initiative

A generous gift from GHR Foundation – the largest ever scholarship gift received by St. Thomas – is the beginning of this initiative to double our scholarships endowment. This infusion of funds will launch the GHR Fellows scholarship program, a competitive program for St. Thomas business majors provides. Students will receive full tuition for four years and opportunities such as a fully funded J-term study abroad experience and access to C-suite business, community and university leaders.

With this gift we intend to inspire other transformational scholarship gifts to educate students to be morally responsible leaders who think critically, work skillfully and act wisely to advance the common good.

– Amy Goldman, CEO of GHR Foundation and member of St. Thomas’ Board of Trustees
