I joined the University of St. Thomas as Director of Development for the Opus College of Business in December 2015. It is my privilege to be part of a learning community where All For The Common Good is strategic to the university. Each day we commit ourselves to being agents of change, thinking critically and acting skillfully. These statements resonate with me because I have committed my life to being an agent of change by working in the areas of higher education and nonprofit philanthropy.

I seek to connect with people who understand the power of investment in education, entrepreneurship, ethical leadership and research—for our students, faculty and all those who benefit from the Opus College of Business Centers of Excellence. I refer to myself as a trusted philanthropic advisor in partnering with Tommies, community members, businesses, organizations and others who want to make a difference. It is a gift to work with people to help them discern and realize their intentions to make an impact through their financial support.

I have been involved in philanthropy for most of my professional career holding various positions in higher education in the Midwest and utilizing my entrepreneurial skills by launching three development offices for nonprofits based in the San Francisco Bay Area and an arts incubator in New York City. Connecting, collaboration, compassion and creativity are key elements that define my approach both professionally and personally.

My husband and I enjoy arts and culture, hiking, travel, reading, and all things local including great food. We did not grow up in the Twin Cities, but we have been frequent visitors over the years of family nearby. We are pleased to be both closer to family and living in a thriving city known for its arts and culture, athletics, higher education, green space and vibrant community spirit often referred to as Minnesota Nice.
