A little about me

I was born and raised in the Twin Cities. At St. Thomas, I double majored in Communication and Journalism and Family Studies. I enjoyed working on campus and being involved in a number of clubs throughout my four years as a student. In my free time, you can catch me spending time with my family and friends, cheering on the Minnesota Twins, watching reality TV or playing Catchphrase. I enjoy listening to all sorts of music, but I especially love Luke Bryan and Taylor Swift. I am thrilled to be working as an admissions counselor at the University of St. Thomas and I can't wait to meet you!

Why I chose St. Thomas

When I was in high school, I had absolutely no idea where I wanted to go to college. The thought of making that big of a decision was overwhelming to me. I knew that I wanted to go to a school that wasn't too big or too small. I loved that St. Thomas was small enough that everwhere I'd go on campus there were familiar faces, but it was big enough where you could meet someone new every day! I also loved the location. It was far enough away from home that I could begin a new chapter of my life on my own, but it was close enough that I could meet my family for dinner! I went on an overnight visit to St. Thomas during my senior year of high school and had a blast getting to know some current students. When I woke up the next morning, I knew that I wanted to spend the next four years of my life as a Tommie!

A word of advice when choosing a college

Choosing where you want to go to college is a huge decision, but it's also a really fun decision! Try not to get overwhelmed and stressed out during the admission process (trust me, I know this is easier said than done!) Visit campus and ask the questions that you are really curious about. No question is a silly question! It might seem like the rest of your life depends on this one decision, but enjoy the journey and trust that you will end up exactly where you are supposed to be!
