A little about me

I grew up in Woodbury, Minn. and graduated from St. Thomas in the spring of 2016 with a major in business management. Some interesting things about me: I’m an avid Minnesota Timberwolves fan, I co-hosted a radio show in college, and my favorite food is PB&J. Throughout my time at St. Thomas, different experiences led to me being interested in working in higher education. I was the treasurer of the Black Empowerment Student Alliance (BESA) for two years and I worked in the Student Diversity and Inclusion Services Office for one year. I’m excited to share with prospective students the great experiences I had at St. Thomas!

Why I chose St. Thomas

After visiting the campus in high school, I knew that St. Thomas was a university that I could see myself at for the next four years of my life. I loved the fact that St. Thomas’s beautiful campus is nestled in a quiet part of St. Paul but still very close to both downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul. The people on my tour were very welcoming along with all the faculty and staff that I met. Another reason why I chose St. Thomas is because I wanted to stay close to my family. Choosing St. Thomas proved to be a great decision. I met some amazing people here that I shared fun experiences with and I wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything. Go Tommies!

A word of advice when choosing a college

Figure out what you want out of your college experience! Visit campuses, do your research, and ask questions. This is a big decision in your life so it is important that you are well informed before you take the plunge!
