Financial assistance available to undergraduate students who are Minnesota residents (or whose spouses are MN residents) and have dependent child care expenses. Undergraduate students who have children age 12 and under (age 14 and under if child has a disability) and demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA may apply. The amount of funding available each year varies depending upon the amount allocated to the University of St. Thomas by the State of Minnesota. Recipients may not be receiving assistance from the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP).
The priority date for submitting a completed Post-Secondary Child Care Grant Application is August 1 each year for the upcoming academic year. Funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to fund recipients from the previous year.
Eligible students may receive up to $2,800 per child per year to help pay for child care from the Minnesota Child Care Grant Program.
Applications may be obtained from the Undergraduate Financial Aid Office beginning in June for the upcoming school year.
