The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is a field of professional development that fits naturally with our teacher-scholar role at St. Thomas. In this workshop led by Dr. Uta Wolfe (Psychology/Neuroscience) we will discuss strategies and examples of how to merge our research and course development to yield publishable work. Learn how to incorporate a research plan into your course development, obtain IRB approval, and publish or present your work.

Uta Wolfe has published on SoTL in the field of neuroscience and psychology, especially on the use of online tools to enhance teaching. She currently leads a faculty learning community for those interested in conducting and publishing SoTL projects.
