Dear colleagues,

In response to faculty requests, Academic Affairs is organizing a round table discussion on navigating political waters with our students, both in and out of the classroom. We’ve been hearing questions from faculty and staff regarding what and how much those of us who work daily with students should disclose about our own perspectives. Our colleagues are also interested in ideas for facilitating constructive dialogue among community members who have varying views.

The round table discussion will be held Friday April 7, 3:30 to 5:00 pm, in McNeely 100 on the St. Paul campus. Please RSVP here or using the link above; if you have a question you would like the panelists to address, please include it where indicated on the form.

We are grateful to the following individuals for agreeing to serve as participants:

  • Fr. Larry Blake: Campus Ministry
  • Amy Finnegan: Justice and Peace Studies
  • Amy Levad: Theology
  • Manuela Munoz Alvarez: Residence Life
  • Ernie Owens: Faculty Affairs Committee
  • Rob Riley: Academic Affairs
  • Rob Vischer: School of Law

If you have questions, please contact Ann Johnson or Wendy Wyatt.
