Date & Time:
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
St. Paul Campus
Discussions around controversial themes can challenge even the most experienced professors. In this panel discussion, Bryana French (Graduate School of Professional Psychology), Stephen Brookfield (Leadership, Policy & Administration), and Todd Lawrence (English) describe their approaches to managing the complexities around integrating race and ethnicity themes into the classroom. They offer their experiences and also strategies for successfully navigating these topics and discussions. There will be time for faculty to ask questions and engage the panelists in conversation about how to integrate diverse perspectives while maintaining civil and respectful dialogue.
This workshop is part of the 2016-17 Inclusive Classroom Institute and is open to all St. Thomas faculty, adjunct and full-time.
