Who Completes the Mini Master of Project Management program?
Hi, my name is Ali Turner and I'm the Division Manager for the Hennepin County Library. I'm not a project manager myself, but I work closely with our project management team and wanted to be able to speak their language.
This program equipped me with many valuable skills, but being able to set my co-workers up for success by knowing how to manage stakeholders has been extremely helpful. The pace of the program allowed for big picture concepts, but also dug deep into the nuances of project management.
Not only did I walk away from this program with a solid framework, but I’m better able to understand where my team is coming from and I'm able to be more constructive with my feedback. I feel more comfortable about making requests because I now have reasonable expectations about project management.
I've been toying with the idea of going back to school, and this program gave me some good insight into what that would look like. This program allowed me to talk with my peers and take advantage of the knowledge and experience in the room. These experiences are priceless.
