From a Glance!

We March for Justice is a two week study tour of the American Civil Rights Movement which embarked on its 10th trip January 2020. The trip included stops in Atlanta, Montgomery, Birmingham, Selma, Canton, Jackson, the Mississippi Delta, Oxford, and Memphis. The theme of this tour was Church: The Epicenter of the Movement. Students studied the landscape of justice in America focusing on the role and importance of religious institutions and faith in the hearts of the people and communities that fought for justice. Students investigated through a culmination of field experiences, museum studies, readings, videos, meetings with foot soldiers, and class discussions. The tour explored challenging history centered on racial oppression and struggles for equality.
