The Department of Public Safety provides special event planning resources through its Special Projects Office. This team works with event planners in assessing the safety needs related to an event, including parking, city permits, additional public safety staffing including public safety officers, police officers and fire/paramedics. The office will also assist in identifying and developing emergency plans for events.
Public Safety officers provide security during events if needed.
As an added feature, Public Safety provides services to those parked on campus, like battery jump starts and vehicle lock-out assistance.
