Assistive Technology Resources
Disability Resouces provides several assistive technology workstations on both the St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses. On the St. Paul campus, workstations are located in the O'Shaughnessy Frey Library. A workstation is located in the Keffer Library on the Minneapolis campus. Our assistive technology includes the following:
- Sonocent Audio Notetaker: software for PC or Mac which offers a visual and interactive form of note taking. Sonocent allows the user to import their audio from their computer or a portable device such as a digital voice recorder.
- JAWS for Windows: converts printed material into speech
- ZoomText: a low vision text enhancer
- Dragon Naturally Speaking: dictation software that allows you to speak to the computer and the dictated words appear on the screen
