Cost and Financial Aid

Small class size and individualized attention are the hallmarks of our graduate English program. In addition to offering both part-time and full-time fellowships, the program provides a variety of professional development opportunities that carry stipends, including writing center consultancies, editorial assistantships, and teaching mentorships. Tuition for any class in the program for the 2016-17 academic year is $857.50 per credit hour; English courses are all three credits, bringing the cost for each course to $2572.50. Graduate certificate and non-degree seeking students can take courses at a 25% lower tuition rate of $643 per credit or $1,929 per course (limit 2 courses for non-degree).

Other costs to consider include:

• Technology fee per semester--$55 for one course, $111 for two or more courses

• Books, up to $150 per class

• On-campus parking permits (optional)--$65 per semester/$125 per year

• Low-cost memberships to the Anderson Athletic & Recreation Complex (optional)—$15 a month, payable up front on a semester basis
