O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library, O'Shaughnessy Room (Room 108)

The O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library has a number of beautiful stained glass medallions that highlight various authors and literary classics. Recognizing that there were no female authors represented, the English Department raised funds several years ago to have a medallion of Zora Neale Hurston's Their Eyes Were Watching God made by the original glassmakers; it now hangs in one of the windows in the front of the library.

Because 2018 is the bicentennial of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, we have again raised funds to create a stained glass medallion of Mary Shelley and her famous creation.

Join us at this special celebration, where we will reveal the new medallion--again made by the same original glassmakers--for all to see.

Light refreshments will be served!
