The graduate English and graduate Catholic Studies programs are proud to welcome three distinguished speakers for our 2018 joint conference plenary panel. Join St. Thomas' Dr. Billy Junker, Macalester's Dr. Andrea Kaston Tange, and St. Thomas MA alumna and current PhD student at the U of M Elizabeth Howard, as they discuss topics in their disciplines and research related to the conference theme. Some topics the presenters will discuss include:

  1. How is your current teaching and/or research connected to the conference theme, "Roots: Tradition and the New"?
  2. In what aspects do theology and literature share common roots? To what extent do they intersect and diverge in their growth?
  3. How can one simultaneously and thoughtfully embrace both tradition and the new?

This panel will be followed by a light lunch and our graduate student break out sessions.

We hope you will join us!
