Interests and Expertise:

  • Fluid Mechanics
  • Numerical Methods
  • Hydrodynamic Stability
  • Aerosol Physics
  • Turbulence Modeling

Career Highlights:

Dr. Matt Anderson has held positions in both academia and corporate settings. With a background in fundamental fluid mechanics, he has spent his career exploring fluid mechanics problems using both experimental and numerical techniques. Some examples of the range of problems Matt has worked on include studying flows that vary from high speed combustors seen in ramjet engines to micro-scale particle/fiber flow-fields. Matt is currently a principal engineer leading a modeling and numerics team.

He has taught thermal science courses at the University of St. Thomas since 2010.
