Responsibility for Personal Safety

While the University of St. Thomas can assume no responsibility for risks associated with participation in programs or activities, the university attempts to provide a safe environment for its students. Historically, few students have been injured while participating in program-related activities, yet none of us are immune to injury in the course of our daily lives, work, play, or field of study.

Each student should conduct himself/herself using due and reasonable care in his/her actions. Student status creates no "special" relationship between the student and the university, and the university is not a “custodian” of the safety of students.
