Biostat student to spend summer at Biostatistics Institute
Samuel Madden, a current biostatistics (STAT 310) student at UST, has been accepted into the Iowa Summer Institute in Biostatistics. This competitive seven-week program provides biostatistical training and applied research opportunities to highly qualified undergraduate students. Through this experience, Samuel will engage in coursework focused on clinical trials, translational research, and statistical models used in the analysis of biomedical data. Together with a faculty mentor from the institute, Samuel will conduct biostatistical research and will present his findings to peers and faculty from the University of Iowa.
