Dr. Justin Donato is awarded a grant from the State of Minnesota

Dr. Justin Donato and his collaborator Timothy LaPara of the University of Minnesota were recently awarded a grant from the Legislateive-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) to study triclosan resistant microbes in wastewater treatment conditions.

Their grant, titled, "Does Triclosan Create Super Bugs During Wastewater Treatment?"  was awarded $380,000. $135,783 of the grant will go to research at St. Thomas and work will begin this July.
