The William E. Petersen Symposium
This annual symposium is offered as a community asset which recognizes the need for physician executives who possess a keen understanding of the inward journey necessary for effective leadership, as well as a firm grounding in business education. The symposium is named for one of the area’s first full-time physician executives, Dr. William E. Petersen, who was chief medical officer for Allina Health System. Throughout his career, Dr. Petersen has modeled the most positive and valuable aspects of the physician executive and leader.
The ACHE Lecture Series
In partnership with the Minnesota chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE-MN), CHMA has developed an educational lecture series designed to educate health care leaders, physicians, nurses and students about current issues, trends or innovations in health care management.
