Family Business Breakfast Series
Friday, April 6, 2018
It’s inevitable. When people come together in family or business, we have disagreements. We have our own needs, values, ideas and goals. While conflict, the struggle due to these differences, is necessary for change, few understand how to handle it. Join us for this breakfast series event, as we identify our personal conflict styles and those of our family members, and learn ways to change conflict into collaboration.
For many family businesses conflict can be a prominent characteristic… one that sucks the energy out of everyone involved. We hear stories playing out in the courtroom and newspapers, and may even find some underlying similarities to what they’re experiencing in our own families. Participants in this event will take a conflict self-assessment, and bring results to the session. Led by a family business conflict expert, we’ll explore different types of conflict, learn what works for and against you in your business family, and what we can do individually with our own conflict styles, to lead family and self to positive outcomes.
Jean Morrison is the founder of Morrison & Associates, Inc., a human resource management consulting firm. Jean has a unique ability to help resolve conflict and adversity and bring peace and understanding to the workplace. She also has been teaching conflict resolution and communications courses for 28 years.
First-time attendees are invited to join us for breakfast as our guest to see if it meets the needs of your family. Regular registration for one breakfast is $200 per family or sign on for the whole season (seven breakfasts) for $1,000.
Friday, April 6, 7:30 a.m.
A note to family business advisors: The breakfast series is restricted to members of family businesses.
