Accessing Academic Resources Remotely

The University of St. Thomas cares about your success and is committed to providing support to you.  With the shift to online classes for the remainder of the semester, we want to ensure that you are aware of the vast online resources that are available to you during this time.  The Center for Student Achievement staff are available to support undergraduate students and faculty members via Zoom, by phone or through email.  We are available 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  We will be updating this page with additional information as we receive it.

Academic Counseling:  

We are currently offering virtual drop-in hours, as well as academic coaching for students desiring additional accountability and support in remote learning. To make an appointment or speak with an Academic Counseling staff member, please call 651-962-6300 and leave a message or send an e-mail message to academiccounseling@stthomas.edu. We will be attentive to respond to these messages and a staff member will follow up with you as soon as possible.  For more information, please visit our website.

Career Development:  

We are currently offering virtual appointments with our Career Counselors. To schedule an appointment, please complete the appointment request form on the Career Development Center main webpage.   If you would like your resume reviewed, please send it to career@stthomas.edu.  A counselor will review it and provide feedback as soon as possible. Please state Resume Review Requested in the Subject Line and the due date.  

Disability Resources:  

To make an appointment or speak with a Disability Resources staff member, please call 651-962-6315 and leave a message or send an e-mail message to disabilityresources@stthomas.edu. We will be attentive to respond to these messages and a staff member will follow up with you as soon as possible. English Language Consulting: 

Pathway Students can use their scheduling link to set up an appointment.  If you do not yet have a personalized scheduling link or need help finding your link, email retention@stthomas.edu to request one.

Libraries:

Library research help is available via text and chat, and librarians are happy to do one-on-one research consultations via email or Zoom.  See our guide for all our options for Library research help.

Math Placement Tutoring: 

Students can use their scheduling link to set up an appointment.  If you do not yet have a personalized scheduling link, email arden.ashley-wurtmann@stthomas.edu to request one.

Pre-Health Professions Advising:  

Current students are encouraged to Schedule an appointment. You must use your four-letter-four-number @stthomas.edu address for this process.

Technology Support: 

All students should find the Tommie Tech for Online/Remote Learning on your Canvas dashboard where you find your Canvas courses. There is both an undergraduate and graduate version where you find technology support, discussion forums, and site facilitators.If you cannot find that resource on your Canvas dashboard, contact the techdesk@stthomas.edu.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP): 

UROP will provide Zoom advising for general research questions (including proposal writing one-on-ones) and Fulbright applicant advising. Please use this scheduler to request an online appointment and select from available times. You must Use your four-letter-four-number @stthomas.edu address for this process.
