Learn about gap year options, find service opportunities for after graduation or get career planning support through the Center for the Common Good.
At the Center for the Common Good, we aim to foster an environment in which working together for the common good extends beyond the student experience and into the lives of St. Thomas graduates.
Many St. Thomas grads choose to complete a full year or more of volunteer service after graduation as a way to put to their faith, values, education, and experiences to work for the common good. We help students to identify and apply for right-fit opportunities and to prepare for what can be a transformative learning experience.
Career and Vocation Planning
Planning for life after college can be a daunting task. Our team is available to mentor students who want to make social change efforts part of their post-graduate plans or explore meaningful socially focused work opportunities that align with their professional and vocational interests and aspirations.
From careers with nonprofits, to starting a social business, to dedicating a year or more of all for the common good volunteer service, we help connect graduating students and other alums with meaningful opportunities and resources.
