Wisdom and the Fullness of Life, Why Aquinas Matters

2016 Thought and Culture Lecture, sponsored by Masters of Arts in Catholic Studies program

Date & Time:

Monday, April 4, 2016
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Woulfe Alumni Hall, Anderson Student Center

Presented by Dr. John Boyle
Director, Master of Arts in Catholic Studies

Aquinas was far from being a “brain on a stick,” or a theologian and thinker so deeply immersed in speculation that he loses sight of the real world. For what matters in the real world is life, and our ability to conduct this life is a way that is in accordance with the deepest longings of human nature. Dr. John Boyle will explore, with both learning and wit, that it is precisely this life, in its fullness, to which St. Thomas endeavors to lead us all.
