2019 First Destination Survey Report

The information in this report covers alumni who graduated from an undergraduate program during the 2018-2019 academic year (July 2018, December 2018 and May 2019). The survey was sent out to 1,215 alumni July  through January 2020. Of these, 646 (53.16%) responded to the survey.

Understanding the Survey

Various options are available to students after graduation. Many seek Full-Time employment and some find Part-Time work as they attend graduate school, navigate career paths, or explore options. Others volunteer, enlist in the military, or attend graduate school full-time. Employment, graduate school, and salary rates will differ depending upon major and career field of choice. These numbers as a whole tell only part of the story about what St. Thomas graduates are doing.

Employment Status-Overall

94.73% of graduates reported employment, enrollment in a graduate program, volunteer service, or enlistment in the military.

12.23% of graduates reported enrollment in a graduate program, none of which are currently seeking employment (see Graduate School/Continuing Education Enrollment).
